Meet Therapist June Farlam, Specializing in Individual & Family Therapy

Hello, and welcome. My name is June (she/her/hers), and I’m a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals and families. I love doing both individual and family therapy, and I especially enjoy walking alongside people as they move through life’s transitions, process past trauma, or work toward repairing ruptures in their relationships with others or with themselves. I affirm all identities and offer a safe, welcoming space for the LGBTQIA+ community.

My approach is client-centered, which means our work together is shaped around you and what you need. I draw from several evidence-based approaches, including Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and EMDR, so I can tailor support to what will help you most. I work with individuals ages 10 and up who are navigating anxiety, depression and mood disorders, trauma and PTSD, relational trauma, life changes and transitions, grief and loss, stress in friendships and relationships, and challenges within family systems.

What to Expect in a Session With Me

I bring curiosity, authenticity, warmth, and compassion to my work with individuals and families. I’m passionate about helping clients gently process and heal the unresolved wounds that may be keeping them from change and happiness, while also building on the strengths and resilience they already have. Therapy with me is a true collaboration, and together we’ll find the path that feels right for reaching your goals.

I offer in-person therapy in West Chester as well as online sessions, so you can choose what works best for you.

A Little About Me

I moved to the United States from the UK with my family more than 18 years ago. After raising my three children, I returned to school, earned my MSW from West Chester University, and have since become a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW).

My favorite part of being a therapist is building genuine connections with my clients. It’s a privilege to help people recognize the strengths they already have and use them to move past whatever is getting in the way of living their most authentic lives.

Outside the therapy room, you’ll most likely find me in nature, out on a walk with my little French Bulldog, Lilo. I love music and art festivals, have a passion for world travel, and enjoy sculpting with clay or spending time in my garden whenever I get the chance.

Ready to get started? Reach out today to schedule your first session, or meet our full team to find the right fit.
