Hi! My name is Haley Sheehan (she/her/hers) and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist at The Therapy Group. I specialize in working with young adults and couples who are navigating anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, life transitions, and inner child healing. Nothing is “too small” or insignificant to explore - there is room for all of you in therapy.
I believe that while we can’t change the past, understanding where we come from allows us to create a more grounded, aligned, and intentional future. I approach the therapeutic relationship with empathy, authenticity, and compassion, and I see the connection between client and therapist as the foundation for healing. It’s an honor to be invited into your internal world as you make sense of your experiences, your relationships, and the story you’ve carried.
My style is warm, direct, collaborative, and sometimes gently humorous. I use a systemic, eclectic approach that considers your inner world, your relationships, and the broader context of your life. My work draws from Emotion Focused Therapy, parts work, and Bowenian Family Therapy. I’m interested in understanding the whole person and the patterns that have shaped you.
I help clients explore how their past informs their present, how their relationships shape their sense of self, and how new meaning and possibilities can emerge when we look at the full narrative - not just the parts that feel the heaviest right now.
Outside the therapy room, I love moving my body, reading, being out in nature, and spending time with my husband and cat, Oli. I’m happiest on long walks with friends, discovering new things, and savoring a cozy rainy Sunday.
